Frequent Questions

What can I expect during my initial visit?

During your initial chiropractic visit at VIBE, we will spend 60 minutes with you where we’ll conduct a life & health history consultation and perform a neuro-spinal assessment to determine how well your nervous system is functioning - Your nervous system is the coordinator and controller of your body's self-regulating, self-healing, and self-maintaining capabilities that allow you to experience health and well-being at high levels.

During this time, you will have the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Zach and discuss your health concerns and possible action steps to take to help improve your overall quality of life. The consultation and assessment are designed to help us learn more about you and your expectations for care. This way we can do our very best to create a plan that serves you the best.

Once this is complete we will have a short conversation about how the body functions, how chiropractic can help, and most importantly how this can help you. Then you will receive an adjustment that is tailored to your body's needs.

What can I expect on my second visit?

Your second visit will be between 30-40 minutes. After reviewing our findings from your consultation, assessment, and response to your first adjustment we will create a care plan that will best serve you in attaining your health goals. After discussing your plan and determining the best course of action to start your care, you will receive your second adjustment.

Ongoing visits:

After your report of findings on your second visit, your ongoing visits (as structured by your care plan) at VIBE will be 15-20 minutes in length.

What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment is about freedom. Allowing your nervous system to freely communicate with your body to allow for the highest levels of health and well-being to be expressed. This is accomplished by your chiropractor when he/she introduces a force (adjustment) to the segments within and areas around your spine.

At VIBE, we take a very unique approach.

Dr. Zach takes the “less is more” approach to adjusting. This means his intentions are to help facilitate the greatest amount of change with the least amount of force. Blending the more traditional, osseous adjustments, to the segments of the spine and extremities with low-force adjustments that are focused at specific access points for your nervous system.

Can I bring my child?

YES! To have the opportunity to care for a child is such a special gift and one we don’t take lightly. Pediatric chiropractic care is so important!

Even though chiropractic care help kiddos experiencing colic, ear infections, asthma, and many other childhood health challenges it is also a FANTASTIC way to help their growing bodies grow, repair, and function at its best. When their bodies are doing this, they can continue being happy, playful, energetic kids experiencing all the amazing things their lives have to offer.

Vitalistic Chiropractic care is about adopting a lifestyle that allows your children to live as empowered, connected, and healthy by giving their nervous system the best chance to facilitate health from the inside out.

Why is it important to bring a newborn child to get checked by a Chiropractor?

The birthing process is not only challenging for mom, but it is also VERY stressful for your new little one entering our world. Most often, that stress is localized to the upper neck area.

The goal of chiropractic adjustments for newborns is to honor the intelligence that brought them from 2 cells to 100 trillions cells in just 40 weeks, by making sure their nervous system is free of any stress. Thus, allowing their bodies to grow as optiamlly as possible.

Chiropractic adjustments for newborns look entirely different than adjustments for adults. When an adjustment is needed a soft, gentle, single finger contact is used. The pressure used is about as much as you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato.

Do you adjust pregnant women?

Yes! Chiropractic care during pregnancy has been shown to be safe and beneficial for both fetus and mother. As mom progresses through pregnancy there are many changes happening to her body and the developing baby.

The mothers nervous system is not only in control of mom's body, but it is also making sure that the growing fetus is getting all the information that it needs in the early stages of development. Another area of focus is the mother's pelvis. Allowing the pelvis of the mother to function at its best is very important. Not only to support the growing baby during pregnancy, but also to allow for optimal positioning for the baby during labor.

A study by the American Medical Association found that women who received regular chiropractic care during their 3rd trimester, carried and delivered with more comfort. Another study concluded that with regular chiropractic adjustments mothers decreased the need for analgesics by half during their delivery. Chiropractic care has also been shown to be able to relieve intrauterine constraint and decrease the average amount of time spent in labor. We love working with pregnant mothers to help your body respond to pregnancy in the best way possible.

How does stress affect my health and well being?

There is no escaping stress in our world today, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. It can become challenging when our bodies cannot process stress well. Not being able to process stress well is what begins to affect our health.

There are different kinds of stress that our nervous system must attempt to deal with daily. Dr. Joe Dispenza postulates that our nervous system must process 400 billion bits of information every single day. These pieces of information consist of the following types:

Physical – repetitive posture, exercise, sports, falls, car accidents, etc.

Mental – The daily, reoccurring thoughts we have in our minds

Emotional – Relationships with spouses/ significant others, children, family, work, etc.

Chemical – Air we breathe, water we drink, food we eat, cell phones, medications, alcohol, etc.

When our nervous system becomes overwhelmed from an inability to process all of our stressors in our life it holds onto/ stores these stressors. This build-up within the nervous system interferes with our nervous systems ability to communicate between brain and body, leading to imbalance and dis-ease.

Chiropractic adjustments allow your brain to reconnect and become aware of areas of interference and facilitate your nervous systems ability to find a more balanced state. When the body and nervous system are in a more balanced, connected state health is the natural byproduct.
